Residential Landscape Design

November 1, 2021 - December 6, 2021

Multiple Day Event

This course teaches and applies the landscape design process in personal spaces. Our workshop sessions focus on design methods using site analysis techniques and schematic design tools. We will first address overarching design concepts and then discuss criteria for plant choice and placements within that context. You will learn to create and implement base maps, site analysis, concepts and elements, spatial relationships, plant palettes, and client preferences. You will also learn how to communicate your own final design product. You will be using the book The Essential Garden Design Workbook by Rosemary Alexander and Rachel Myers, third edition, Timber Press. Our Garden Shop has stocked copies for the class: shop@NativePlantTrust.org
